Overview
This guide explains how to configure a Cisco Meraki access point to use a Splash Access captive portal. You will set the custom splash URL, adjust splash behaviour, and configure access control settings including the required walled‑garden domains.
1. Splash Page Settings
- In the Meraki Dashboard, go to Wireless → Splash Page.
- Select the SSID you want to configure.
- Under Custom splash URL, choose: Or provide a URL where users will be redirected
- Enter your Splash Access URL, for example: https://www.splashaccess.com/mypage
- Under Splash behaviour, set Splash frequency to: Every day
- Click Save Changes.
2. Access Control Settings
- Go to Wireless → Access Control.
- Under Network Access:
- Association requirements: Open (no encryption)
- Splash page: Click‑through
- Scroll to Walled Garden and set: Walled Garden is Enabled
3. Walled Garden
If you are using Splash Access without Social Media or Payment Gateways, add the following domains:
*.splashaccess.com *.splashaccess.net *.splashaccess.us *.wifi.direct *.splash-access.com Server1.splash-access.com Server2.splash-access.com Server2.splash-access.com Server1.splashaccess.net
Click Save Changes to apply the configuration.
